Annie’s carving a Queensland blue pumpkin, which is the most common variety in Australia, and which was used to make my first and only jack-o-lantern back in the 80s. Even today I seldom see those big orange ones in supermarkets, the ones Americans normally use to make their jack-o-lanterns.
